GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Sophomore superstar Emoni Bates is widely considered as the top player in the country, regardless of class. On Saturday, Bates and Ypsilanti Lincoln made a return trip to Grand Rapids for the sixth annual Red Hawk Showcase at City High School.

Bates would score 27 points and grab 14 rebounds but Benton Harbor would get off to a quick start without looking back. Senior standout Carlos 'Scooby' Johnson would lead the way for the Tigers, scoring 19 points and snatching 17 rebounds in the 73-51 win. It's the second straight season the Tigers have beaten the Railsplitters at the Red Hawk Showcase as they improve to 11-1 overall.
