GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Gold Division of the Cornerstone Holiday Tournament starts on Thursday, the day after Christmas.
On the boys side, Godwin Heights (0-4) will take on Wayland (0-3) at 7 p.m. and Covenant Christian (2-1) will play Zeeland West (1-1).
The Wolverines have played four tough teams to start the season and the game with the Wildcats should be uptempo.
The second game between the Chargers and Dux will feature excellent guard play with Zeeland West's Eli Steffen, playing on his future home court, going up against Ty and Trent Mulder of Covenant.
The girls get it started at 4 p.m. with Zeeland East and Forest Hills Eastern meeting in this tourney for the third straight season, the Chix have won the last two.
The second girls game pits Grand Rapids Christian (5-0) against Forest Hills Central (3-2). The Eagles are playing well early this season and Rangers sophomore Theryn Hallock has already had 40 and 37 point outputs in here teams first five games.
