GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — East Grand Rapids and Grand Rapids Christian were tied up late in the game before junior Jillian Brown continued her dominance with a game-high 29 points. The Pioneers prevail, 63-59 to clinch their second consecutive OK Gold championship.
"Last time we played them, we got up on them early and they made a run back," Brown said after the game.
Tuesday's game was another that featured several runs, leaving the game up for grabs late.
"We knew we had to stick with it," Brown added, "it's a game of runs, so we had to make ours and they make theirs and we just keep up. We're just trying to get better for march, we feel like we're getting ready and that's it."
East Grand Rapids improves to 17-1 overall.
