KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Hart may have fallen short on Friday afternoon in the team wrestling state quarterfinals, but that won't hinder the experience of those in attendance.
"It's huge for our program," head coach Brad Altland said, "we've had some really good teams and have never had quite the right path to get there."
The Pirates would fall, 43-18 to Manchester but it's a season the program will look to build on.
"This year these boys stepped up and got us here," Altland continued, "I thought we wrestled pretty well today. We had to have the right few matches go our way and we were close but didn't quite make it."
