MUSKEGON, Mich. — Muskegon and East Kentwood met twice last season, splitting the two meetings but the Lady Reds winning in the postseason. On Friday night, East Kentwood head coach Eric Large said the team used that loss as motivation.
"This has become a rivalry," Large said after the 31-23 win.
East Kentwood junior Lexi McCully helped carry the team in the second half with two big three pointers as the Lady Falcons improve to 2-0 on the new season.
