Jack Karasinki banked in a three pointer at the buzzer to lift Grand Rapids Catholic Central to a thrilling 58-56 win over South Christian in the season opener for both teams.
"It is a play we have been executing in practice everyday," Karasinski said. "We come in the gym ready to work. As you can see we played it off right, we got the shot, it's what we needed."
The Cougars trailed by a point with two seconds to play and had to inbound from under their own basket.
Junior Luka Ressler delivered a perfect pass that allowed Karasinksi to catch and shoot over a couple of Sailor defenders.
