MORLEY, Mich. — Morley Stanwood beat Kent City, 59-51 on Friday night to create a tie atop the Central States Silver at 7-1 in conference.

"Kent City is a big rival of ours, they got us on our home floor, we knew we had to win tonight if we wanted to possibly share the championship with them," head coach Bob Raven said.

Axel Woolworth had a team-high 19 points in the win.

"It feels really good to be back tied for first," Woolworth said, "we need to finish out the last two games in conference and it'll be a great season."

The Mohawks improve to 14-2 overall on the season and close out divisional play with White Cloud on the road and Hesperia.
