CARSON CITY, Mich. — Former NorthPointe Christian football coach Tim Swore is returning to West Michigan to be the varsity football coach at Carson City-Crystal High School.
Swore coached Faith Christian High School in Orlando, Florida last fall and was named Florida coach of the year in 2A.
He takes over a CC-C program that that was 5-5 last season, has eight consecutive non-losing seasons and been to the playoffs in six of the last eight seasons.
"I'm going to look at what talent we have," Swore said. "What are the kids skill sets, try to base what we do around what they do best and those coaches that have been there are going to be here still and their input will be crucial to making the right decisions on what we do but I got a pretty good idea. It is nice, you are not starting all over and starting from scratch, you are building on what's already there."
He started the football program at NorthPointe Christian High School in 2008 and was 71-41 in 11 years there including seven playoff appearances, two district and two regional titles.
