Zeeland East hold off late Muskegon rally to stay unbeaten

ZEELAND, Mich. — Zeeland East started fast on Saturday in its OK Green showdown with visiting Muskegon leading by as many as 14 (25-11) in the second quarter on the way to a 58-52 win.

The Big Reds rallied to within two (39-37) with just under six minutes to play in the game on a three by junior Ethan Hill who led Muskegon with 12 points.

The Chix made the plays down the stretch to pull out the win led by senior Trip Riemersma's 18 points.

Nate and Brandon Claerbaut each added 10 points for Zeeland East.

The Chix are now alone in first place in the conference, one game ahead of the Big Reds.
