SANTA CLARA, California — The Detroit Lions fall to the 49'ers in the NFC championship, ending their season at 14-6. A big turnaround from just two years ago when they finished 3-13. Below is a scoring recap of the game.

Lions fall to 49'ers in NFC Championship

Fourth quarter:
-49'ers take their first lead of the game with a 33 yard field goal from Jake Moody. 27-24 with 10:05 left in the game.
-4th and goal touchdown from Jameson Williams. Lions down 34-31 with 56 seconds left.

Third quarter:
-The 49'ers close the gap a bit with a field goal. 24-10 in the middle of the third.
-Brandon Aiyuk would pull down an interception and moments later have a six yard touchdown run with 5:15 left in the third. Lions still lead 24-17.
-Christian McCaffrey earns his second TD of the game. The 49'ers make it a 24-24 game with 3:02 left in the third.

Second Quarter:
-San Francisco gets on the board with a yard two run from Christian McCaffrey. 14-7 with 13:49 to go in the second.
-Brock Purdy picked off by Malcolm Rodriguez and gets it inside the 25 yard line. Flag is called for a blind-side block, the Lions will start on offense at the 50 yard line.
-Jahmyr Gibbs extends the Lions lead with a 15 yard run. 21-7 with 5:54 left in the first half.
-Michael Badgley nails a 21 yard field goal with just 10 seconds left in the second quarter. Detroit up 24-7.

First quarter:
-Jameson Williams goes 42 yards into the end zone to earn the first TD of the game. 13:18 left in the first.
-San Francisco kicker Jake Moody tries for a 48 yard field goal and it was no good. 7-0 in the middle of the first.
-Lions strike again! David Montgomery into the end zone from the one yard line. 14-0 Detroit leads with 2:34 left in the first.
-End of the first, 14-0 Lions lead.
