ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Carol Hutchins retired from Michigan as the winningest softball coach in NCAA history.

The process of leaving the sport wasn't easy, especially after 38 years.

"I may have underestimated how challenging that final decision would be because I'm still very passionate," she told WXYZ on Monday. "At this point, I'm at peace."
