EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan State University's pregame quiz prompted a flood of outrage on social media andcalls for accountability from MSU's Board of Trustees Saturday night.
The question of where Adolf Hitler was born flashed on the video boards more than an hour before kickoff.

The university says the dictator's inclusion in pre-game trivia was not made known to them until after it was shown and the trivia itself is supplied by an outside organization.
“MSU is aware that inappropriate content by a third-party source was displayed on the video board prior to the start of tonight’s football game," Michigan State spokesman Matt Larson said. "We are deeply sorry for the content that was displayed, as this is not representative of our institutional values. MSU will not be using the third-party source going forward and will implement stronger screening and approval procedures for all videoboard content in the future.”
Michigan routed Michigan State on the field, a year after their last win against the Spartans ended in several suspensions and criminal charges when a U of M player was attacked in the tunnel by MSU players.
