GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Calvin University celebrated 100 years of the basketball program Saturday with players, coaches and fans at Van Noord Arena.

"Men's basketball at Calvin is a huge thing," former head coach Kevin Vande Streek said. "It's a big part of the fabric of who this University is. I'm a huge history guy so it was one of the cool things for me coming here to learn some of the names of the past and I think the tradition will continue and we are proud of this year's group."

The Knights beat Adrian on the court Saturday, 81-52 in their final home game.

Calvin will be the two-seed in next week's MIAA Tournament and will get a bye to Friday's 5 p.m. semifinal at Albion.
