Tessa DiTirro is overjoyed to start her day with you. Tessa was previously a Reporter/Anchor at WKRC in Cincinnati, OH, and Morning Anchor at WTRF in Wheeling, WV. Tessa has covered dozens of big stories, including the 2016 statewide flooding in West Virginia, the deadly mass shooting at the Fifth Third Bank offices in Cincinnati, devastating EF 5 tornadoes that swept through Dayton, OH, and a statewide West Virginia teacher's strike.
Tessa is from Akron, OH, and earned her journalism degree from The Ohio State University in 2015. Tessa has a minor in music and has been singing her entire life.
Tessa is engaged in West Michigan. She serves as a board member of Renew Mobility, a nonprofit that provides mobility equipment to folks of all ages. Previously, Tessa served as a 'big sister' with Big Brothers Big Sisters, and a CASA with Court Appointed Special Advocates.
When Tessa isn't at the anchor desk, she loves working out and trying local restaurants. Tessa is an animal advocate and loves her two rescue fur babies. Lola was adopted from Belmont County Animal Shelter while Tessa was working in Wheeling, WV. Barkley was adopted from the Humane Society West Michigan in November 2022.
