WEST MICHIGAN — The National Weather Service has already issued LAKESHORE FLOOD WATCHES and HIGH WIND WATCHES for most of West Michigan in advance of our powerful Wednesday storm. While this system will bring rain, it will also pack sustained winds of between 35 and 45 mph, and gusts of 50 to 60.
Significant lakeshore beach/bluff/dune erosion are likely, along with scattered power outages. We won't see the winds relax until Thursday morning. A second powerful storm arrives on Saturday with similar conditions.
