WEST MICHIGAN — Summer has been quick to make itself known in West Michigan this weekend and it will get even warmer and muggier for Memorial Day.

With the jet stream well to our north, warm/humid air continues to pump into the area from the south. With the extra humidity and warmth, isolated showers and storms are possible Memorial Day through Wednesday. That will bring some cooling relief to the heat. Most will stay dry even with the chance.

The muggiest conditions will be around Memorial Day & Tuesday. Both days will see heat indices closer to 90° by the evening.

Cooler weather will slowly return towards next weekend with little to no humidity after Thursday.
