WEST MICHIGAN — The forecast from FOX 17 Meteorologist Haleigh Vaughn: After rain, freezing rain, sleet, and snow from this evening, precipitation is switching over to only snow showers tonight as colder air moves in. Widespread snow showers will fall through early Friday morning, where the heaviest snow accumulation will likely be north of I-96. Temperatures will tumble to the teens overnight, which could freeze any remaining slush and snow on the roadways. Slick travel conditions are likely through early Friday morning. Colder air plunges in for Friday, delivering high temperatures back in the 20s and some lingering lake effect snow showers at the immediate lakeshore.
