GRAND RAPIDS — The forecast from FOX 17 Chief Meteorologist Kevin Craig: Arctic air filters in gradually overnight with the chance of lake effect snow showers along/west of U.S. 131. Only an inch or two is expected/possible through Friday in these locations. High pressure will settle in for the weekend sunshine and dry conditions. Temperatures next week are expected back into the 40s.

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and breezy with a few flurries or lake effect snow showers developing overnight, especially along/west of U.S. 131. Lows around 20. Northwest winds at 10 to 20 mph.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy, windy, and colder. Lake effect snow showers possible, mainly along/west of U.S. 131. Highs in the middle 20s. West/northwest winds at 20 to 30 mph. Wind chills in the single digits to near 10 above.

TOMORROW NIGHT: Mostly cloudy and breezy. Lake effect snow showers possible, mainly along/west of U.S. 131. Lows in the mid/upper teens. West/northwest winds at 10 to 20 mph. Wind chills between 5 below and 5 above zero.

FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy, breezy, and cold. Lake effect snow showers possible, mainly along/west of U.S. 131. Highs in the middle 20s. West/northwest winds at 10 to 20 mph. Wind chills in the teens.

SATURDAY: Mostly sunny with lighter winds. A bit warmer with highs around 30.
