WEST MICHIGAN — The forecast from FOX 17 Meteorologist Haleigh Vaughn: Happy Friday! Snow showers quickly piled up in West Michigan, resulting in plenty of communities receiving over 10" of snow as of this morning. This was a record breaking snowfall for March, as Grand Rapids broke a single day snowfall record for March 10th. While most of the snow is long over, a few flurries are possible overnight. Otherwise, we are tracking mostly cloudy skies and cold temperatures. Overnight lows fall to the lower 20s, which could create slick travel conditions. Some sunshine sweeps back in for Saturday, with the chance for light snow on Sunday and Monday. As of now, models are trending towards 2" to 3" of snow accumulation between Sunday and Monday. This is pale in comparison to our most recent snow storm! Winter isn't over in West Michigan quite yet. Don't forget to move the clocks forward one hour THIS WEEKEND Saturday night as we return to Daylight Saving Time. Download the free FOX 17 Weather App for the latest forecast video.
