WEST MICHIGAN — A Wind Advisory will go into effect Sunday from 10 A.M. to 8 P.M. for the potential of 40 to 50 mph wind gusts. Sustained winds will range from 20 to 30 mph.

As a cold front drifts through during the morning, colder air will race in behind it. That combined with a deep surface low pressure to the north will lead to the strong wind potential.

Wind speeds will be the highest this afternoon and evening, before slowing down a bit overnight. Wind could still gusts up to 35 mph on Monday.

The strong wind will also arrive with more rain showers, making this Sunday one we will want to be inside for. If you have any essential shopping that can be put on hold until Monday, it is recommended that you just hunker down and put the heat on today instead of venturing outside.

Wind chills will remain in the 30s all day thanks to the wind and temperatures slowly falling into the lower 40s by the evening.
