(WXMI) — School closings and cancellations have been announced for Wednesday as lake effect snow and freezing temperatures continue into midweek.

An additional inch or two of snow is expected to fall along and west of US-131 by Wednesday morning.
Another couple of inches may fall in the same area throughout Wednesday, accompanied by breezy conditions and highs in the teens.
