COOPERSVILLE, Mich –
A westbound semi rig went off the highway on westbound I-96 Wednesday morning.
The rig flipped on the right side. The driver was stuck in the cab for about half an hour before he was extricated.
An officer on the scene said the rig was a milk tanker. But a hazmat team was called in to handle a leak.
The crash took place east of mile marker 19 in the Coopersville area at about 6:45 a.m. One lane of traffic was maintained during most of the investigation and cleanup, which was completed around 11 a.m.
