FOX 17 is teaming up with the Special Olympics of Michigan to present the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge series!
Mike Avery and FOX 17 challenge you to raise needed funds for the Special Olympics: dress up in costume and prepare to plunge into a freezing Michigan lake for this good cause.
Proceeds from these plunges help support year-round sports training and athletic competition for more than 18,600 children and adults with intellectual disabilities in Michigan.
Join Mike Avery at the Grand Rapids Polar Plunge Saturday, February 23 at East Grand Rapids Middle School. Registration starts at 11:00 a.m.; take the plunge at 12:45 pm in Reeds Lake; then and enjoy the after party and awards at 1:30 p.m.
If you cannot join Mike at the Grand Rapids Polar Plunge, you can support one of the other Polar Plunges in Our West Michigan:
- Kalamazoo Polar Plunge – February 16
- Muskegon Polar Plunge – February 16
- Holland Polar Plunge – February 23
