GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – A young man was found shot to death in Grand Rapids late Monday evening.

He was identified Tuesday morning at Anthony Dequan Tompkins, 23.

Officials found the victim on the sidewalk near the intersection of Sweet Street and Diamond Avenue NE.

Tomkins appears to have died from a gunshot wound. Several residents reported hearing gunshots in the area, said police.

No arrests have been made, and there is no known motive.
