ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. – A man allegedly broke into an Allegan County home Thursday morning and bit one of the occupant’s fingers.
Around 9:30 Thursday night, Michigan State Police say they found 21-year-old Zach Fitts and arrested him in Holland.
Fitts was wanted after he broke into a home in Overisel Township at about 9:55 a.m.
When Fitts entered the home, the brother of the homeowner told police he tried to stop him and a struggle began.
That’s when Fitts allegedly bit his finger and said that he had a gun.
Fitts fled the home in a vehicle that was later recovered by Holland City Police at the suspect’s home.
According to police documents, the suspect has a lengthy criminal record that includes burglary and larceny.
Police say Fitts is expected to be arraigned on these most recent charges on Friday.
