FOX 17′s parent company at Tribunes highest level is getting a new Chairman of The Board and also a new Chief Executive Officer.

Peter Liguori is the new CEO. Our sister station, WGN, in Chicago sat down with the Liguori.

“I have a fair amount of confidence, but I’ll never say I can turn around something this big,” Liguori said. “What gives me hope is that people consume more news today than 20 years ago.”

The changes are all coming as Tribune successfully comes out of bankruptcy.

Liguori has a background in television, serving as chairman of entertainment for FOX Broadcasting. Most recently, he was COO of Discovery Communications.
