GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A man and a woman were shot early Thursday, but both people are likely to recover.
The shooting was reported around 5:30 a.m. in the 1737 Martin Avenue SE.
Apparently, the couple got into an argument. The man had a gun, and the pair began to struggle. The woman was shot in the hand, and the man took a bullet in the leg.
The father of the woman talked to FOX 17 News and said the argument was between his daughter and her fiance. The fiance got out a gun and threatened to kill the woman. The dad tried to get the gun away.
The man will face assault charges once he gets out of the hospital.
The female victim’s father said there were four children under the age of 5 in the house at the time.
