GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. –Two security guards at Grand Rapids Public Schools are under investigation after allegations were made that a teenage girl was slammed against a locker.
FOX 17 spoke to GRPS. They school said the mother of the girl reported that one of the guards wanted a video that was on the student’s cellphone. When the teen refused to hand it over, that’s when the mother said the guard grabbed her daughter by her jacket and slammed her up against the lockers.
All the while, the mom said another security guard was standing by and grabbed the phone out of the girl’s hand.
The teen said the school’s surveillance cameras captured the incident on tape.
The district said they are using the tape as part of their investigation.
Both security guards are still at work while the school district investigates.
