GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Grand Rapids Veterans Home has won a $25,000 Home Depot gift card by winning the February voting in The Home Depot Foundation’s second annual Aprons in Action Facebook contest.
The Grand Rapids Veterans Home, a West Michigan nonprofit that supports local veterans, was one of four organizations across the country competing in the month of February in The Home Depot Foundation’s Aprons in Action contest.
Voting began Feb 1st and ran through the end of February.
The organization received a $25,000 prize that will help fund an organizational or community improvement project, and now has the opportunity to compete for the grand prize of $250,000 at the end of the year-long program.
