GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — Starting on March 30, Meijer will stop accepting double coupons at some of its locations, according to a post on the company’s Facebook page.
People have been taking to the company page in droves to let out frustrations, to which Meijer has replied, “We are eliminating double coupons in our Battle Creek, Lansing, Ft. Wayne and South Bend Markets.”
Meijer added on the Facebook post that the stores will continue to research all of the markets as it continues to “reinvest in low prices across all of our items.” It did not release any other comments, or say if it plans to eventually end all double coupons.
Most have commented that they are upset about the change, however a few people are saying that it’s OK, if it’s in an effort to keep all of the prices low.

Ever since Fred let the kids take over the Meijer day to day operation, the service has gotten worse and worse. From what employees say, once Lena passes on, it will only get worse.

Meijers doesn't do double coupons here in Grand Rapids since the 70's. Quality has really gone downhill, while prices continue to climb. I do most of my shopping at Family Fare and D&W now.

We don't have double coupons in GR. They do in the Detroit area where my parents live. However, when you compare our ad to theirs, our prices are substantially cheaper on things.
