ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. – The motive in the killing of an Allegan County man was revealed during a probable cause hearing.
During the hearing, the Allegan County Sheriff’s Department stated landlord Marion Curt Conley was ‘very upset with the victim over damage that was done to the residence’ as well as the lack of payment on a land contract. Conley had served Jody Snyder an eviction notice to have Snyder removed from the home.
During a sheriff deputy’s interview, Conley admitted there was an argument with the tenant a week before the death. Also, Conley told investigators he did not own a .22 caliber handgun since 1950, but an autopsy showed Snyder was killed by a bullet from a .22 caliber gun.
Conley will be charged in court at 1:30 in Allegan County. More to come shortly…

It says that "Conley admitted therewas an argument with the tenant ( John Snyder) a week before the death". There is no other "Conley" after the word tenant…

My question is….why is the photo of the deceased (that Fox17 continues to use) a police mugshot photo? Show a little dignity to the family and friends who lost this person. Sure, he might of fell into hard times, but he (or anyone else for that matter) does not deserve to have their life taken this way, and then to only show a mugshot of the individual murdered, makes it look like he was the murderer. Show a little respect!

Not sure how Conely denying owning a .22 since 1950 and the decedent being murdered by one shows guilt. That only shows that there is denial on part of the suspect. I'm sure hoping Allegan County has more valuable evidence that what has been presented in this article.

Conley found out that Jody did not vote for Mitt Romney and shot him with a .22 for being the cause of losing his assault rifle rites. XD

It really does not seem proper to display the victim (deceased) with a MUGSHOT in this article, it makes it look like they are the murder suspect. That would make me sick if I was family or friend of the deceased.

um look friend with the victim and family of the victim the accused not only threatened jody on 2 different occasions that he would shoot him and those aren't mug shots and again people forget that this was a human being and not only did he have children but family and friends who loved him dearly he dint do anything to deserve this and for people to say the things they are saying is cruel.
