ANAHEIM, Cali.- Like many men and women who fight for our country in Afghanistan, U.S. Marine Scott Brown, formerly of the Mt. Pleasant, Mich. area missed out on his son Liam’s first steps and the endless love from his little daughter Alyssa. Not to mention, leaving his wife Jen behind to do the tough job of single parenting when he headed overseas in August of 2012.
Now living in San Diego, one of Alyssa’s favorite places has become Disneyland. Prior to daddy departing, the family even took a memorable trip; so it was only right that Jen surprise the children with daddy’s return, the same way.
Through the magic of Disney, Jen was able to arrange a special reunion. Snow White stuck around after her shift to meet Alyssa at the wishing well. Alyssa proceeded to tell Snow White that her wish was for daddy to come home. Together, Alyssa and Snow White covered their eyes and said, “I wish, that daddy would come home”. Sure enough, when she opened her eyes, daddy was waiting.
