GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – LINC Community Revitalization, Inc. and other members of the STOP IT Initiative will hold a community update meeting on Thursday to unveil strategies and ways to take action to reduce violence in Grand Rapids.

The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. at Gerald R. Ford Middle School. It will give attendees the opportunity to learn about how they can get involved and make their communities safer places.

This comes following a spike in violent crime in Grand Rapids in early 2013.

How about a local production company creating a film illustrating the difference of a violent, short life compared to a healthy choice, long life. Make it mandatory for children and families at risk. Just a thought.
