GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — When bystanders said, “There’s a pig walking around,” Grand Rapids Police officer Jeremy Huffman initially thought they were using an all-too-common reference to him.
No, there really was a pig hanging around.
When Officer Huffman, returned to his unit, there was the pig. Just standing there. Ramone by name.
After putting Ramone (pictured) in his patrol car, Huffman called city animal control and began driving around in search of the animal’s owner.
Meanwhile, Ramone was making a mess of the back seat, if you know what we mean.
In typical efficient police fashion, Huffman reunited pig with owner. In gratitude, the owner proceeded to clean up the unit’s back seat.
Incidentally, this particular pig is not legally considered livestock but considered a small exotic pig.
