TEXAS TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A vehicle driven by a 20-year-old woman from the Grand Rapids area was southbound on Texas Drive when she failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle continued through a grassy area, struck a large rock and rolled several times, striking a building and landing in the parking lot.
The driver had non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Bronson Hospital.
The building is damaged beyond repair.
Originally built in the early 1940’s, it housed the Township Hall until 1968. It has been a church office, day care and hair salon since then, and recently was being remodeled for another business.
The incident continues to be investigated by the Michigan State Police.
