Two Arrested For Vandalizing Artprize Piece

noahGRAND RAPIDS, Mich. РTwo people were arrested after a witness saw them breaking  an Artprize entry around 2:15 a.m. on Tuesday, October 1.

Grand Rapids police say the witness saw a man and woman ripping a giraffe off the piece called “Noah’s Ark” at First United Methodist Church on Fulton Street.

Vandals had recently targeted this piece, ripping a dove out of the window of the ark.

Police say there’s no indication that the pair knows the artist or that they’re linked to the previous vandalism.

The two are facing charges of larceny over a thousand dollars.

Was it vandalism or larceny? Larceny over $1000, that's a bit of a stretch!!!

Put a for sale sign on it & see what happens, bet the owner ends up paying Waste Management $20 to haul it away.
