GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — DeShawn Threats is going to trial for the August murder of his 2-year-old daughter Zaeyana.
According to officials at Grand Rapids 61st District Court, Judge David Buter found Thursday that there was enough evidence to send the 21-year-old to trial.
Threats was arrested Aug. 14 on child abuse charges when police were called to their apartment on Fourth Street NW and found Zaeyana’s body. He was charged with her murder two days later after an autopsy showed that his daughter died of blunt force trauma to the abdomen. His next court date is not yet set.
