Lake Effect Snow Machine Pounds Southwest Michigan

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – Mother nature dumped a blanket of new snow across parts of Southwest Michigan in the past 24 hours.

The photograph above was taken in Stevensville, Michigan along the I-94 corridor.

FOX 17 Meteorologist Jon Shaner said Tuesday morning there were reports of between 9 and 15 inches of new snow across Berrien County.  Areas around St. Joseph and Stevensville were the hardest hit.  The snow will continue to break up as it begins to spread inland Tuesday afternoon.
