HASTINGS, Mich. — The driver of a pickup involved in a rollover crash on M-37 that killed the passenger was arrested Tuesday morning for drunk driving causing death.
The passenger, Martin Breitner, 52, of Hastings, died at the scene on M-37 near Sager Road. The driver, who remained unidentified by officials, was first taken to the hospital and then transferred to the Barry Count Jail.
The highway was closed from the time of the crash, around 12:40 a.m., until shortly after 5 a.m.
