ALGOMA TWP., Mich.- The Kent County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a fatal crash that happened around 11:45 p.m. on Saturday night.
Deputies say it happened at Northland Dr NE north of Russell St. NE. Deputies say the vehicle was going north on Northland Drive when it lost control and went off the side of the road. Deputies say the vehicle rolled and came to a stop in the 12000 block of Northland Dr.
The driver, Nicholas McIntyre, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The passenger, Bridget Brinkmeier, was killed in the crash. Deputies do not think she was wearing a seatbelt.
Investigators believe alcohol played a factor in the crash and will be forwarding the case on to the prosecutor’s office.
