CALHOUN COUNTY, Mich. — A tow truck driver was struck by a vehicle Tuesday night on I-94 near the Helmer Road exit.
The man, 48, suffered severe but non-life threatening injures to his leg after a 21-year-old Jackson woman lost control of her vehicle and hit him. She and her female passenger were not injured.
“This accident serves as an unfortunate but necessary reminder for drivers to slow down and give extra room to emergency vehicles when they see them working near the roadway,” Calhoun deputies said in a release.
Earlier this week, FOX 17 obtained harrowing video of a tow truck driver in Muskegon County barely avoiding a similar accident.
