COMSTOCK PARK, Mich – A family in Comstock Park, relieved to hear from their 14-year-old daughter after she hadn’t returned home in nearly a week.

Relatives of 14-year-old Arissa Vandyke contacted FOX 17 late Friday evening, saying the teenager had left home on November 22nd and was expected home the next day but never returned.

Relatives of the teenager contacted the Kent County Sheriff’s Department.  Officers with the Grand Rapids Police Department assisted in the search after her mother said she may be at an address on the west side of the city of Grand Rapids.  She wasn’t located during that search.

Early Saturday morning, the teenager contacted her mother, telling her she was unharmed, though her exact whereabouts are still unknown to the family.
