Pay It Forward: Winter Gear For Kids
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – It’s the season of giving and a local business wants help to keep kids warm in this bitter cold weather.
A cellphone store in West Michigan is paying it forward and they’re doing so in the form of winter gear.
The giveaways began Thursday morning, at all three Grand Rapids locations of Quick City Wireless. The stores were loaded with all of the supplies to keep warm – hats, scarves, gloves and ear-warmers – 600 of each.
“It’s so important for them to dress warm during the winter,” said Teion Crews, CEO of Quick City Wireless. “It’s really important for them to bundle up so we got all the necessities for them to stay bundled up.”
Crews also said that this is the first year that the business is doing this, but they hope to continue to pay it forward in the future.
The stores are giving away the winter gear to children until supplies last and are asking that they have a parent or guardian along with them.
Quick City Wireless stores are located at three locations:
- 1149 Burton St. SE
- 1215 Chicago Dr. SW
- 865 28th St. SE
