Family Feels Hopeless After Thief Steals Four Tires Off Pick-Up

GAINES TOWNSHIP, Mich.– A Kent County woman says it feels like her independence has been stolen. Someone took all four tires off her pick-up truck.

The Kent County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to FOX 17 that it happened this week at the Woodfield East Apartments in Gaines Township.

“I came to the door, looked outside and all I could see was the first one missing,” said Devan Anderson.

At first, Anderson thought her fiance took a tire to have it fixed, but once she took a look around her pick-up, she noticed all four tires were gone.  Her truck was hoisted up on two cinder blocks and leaning lopsided just steps from her front door.

“It’s frustrating to know that any plans you had are dashed and you have to rely on everyone else to pick you back up again.”

It’s the latest in just a string of unfortunate events happening in her life. Anderson lost her grandfather around Christmas several years ago, and her house burned down last Christmas.

“This is just devastating and it’s not something you can just go to the store and grab,” said Anderson.

“You could if you had the money. But I don’t even  have money for new shoes.”

The Kent County Sheriff’s Department is investigating.

I cant afford things either but I dont go on T.V crying about it like everyone is supposed to buy me new tires and things.
Where is the boy friend he may have took them to buy something as It sounds funny here I mean look parked right in front of a door and she said she thought maybe her boyfriend may have took 1 to get fixed so they could not have been that good. But that big apartment complex people know each other and no one is going to go steal tires right there and think they would get away with it unless it was someone seen in the truck before.
Stop the game get ready to face a new charge for filing a false police report and find a setter for your child as you and the boyfriend will be doing a little jail time.

I don't know who you think you are but you don't know these kids…how can you say stuff like that…my nephew is a very hard working father..my niece is every bit as hard working as he is…everyone thought she would have that baby at work cuz she worked til the day he was born..so you can say all the ugly stuff you like…people that know these two know that they work and take care of there own…people steal all the time…they didn't ask for someone to take there tires…but someone did…and i'm sure someone saw who took them…I mean they do live in an apartment true…but who want's to get involved? and not everyone gets out and meets there neighbors…don't worry bout that baby boy..he has the best two parents in the world…there will be no jail time for them…they did nothing wrong…they parked there truck went in the house went to bed and woke up to find the truck like it is in the pictures…

Wow. What a heartless snot. I live next door to an elderly couple and he's disabled. They park their car right up the driveway between our two houses and none of us heard a thing but woke up to find their car up on blocks and all the wheels gone. My dog didn't even hear them. And yes, people will steal things wherever they find them. I don't know what kind of fairy tale area you live in, but it sure happens in other areas. If you have nothing helpful to add, keep your judgmental, snarky, rude comments to yourself.

Wow, i didn’t call fox crying about it. My neighbor thought it could help so he gave my contact info to the news. Go be angry somewhere else. I’ve got better things to do than stage a tire robbery you yutz

The boyfriend didn’t take them if you knew him you wouldn’t say that and this is news to let people know it could happen to them too and try to get people that know something to come forward.

MOST COUPLES OUT THERE BOTH WORK HARD BUT STILL DON'T HAVE 2 NICKLES TO RUB TOGETHER. ESPECIALLY THIS TIME OF YEAR. SOMEONE SAID IT WAS MOST LIKELY SOMEOME YOU KNOW OR KNEW. THERE RIGHT! A YOUNGER GUY, THAT ALWAYS SEEMS TO HAVE MORE THAN HE WORKS FOR, MOST LIKE NOT AROUND ALL THE TIME, BUT ALWAYS HAS SOMETHING CHEAP FOR SALE, WHEN HE IS. THIS TOOK MORE THAN ONE PERSON, AMD ANOTHER CAR OR TRUCK TO TRANSPORT THEM. SO HE HAS FREINDS. I WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK FINDING THEM….!

Look at the video where the axles are sitting their are no tire tracks under the axle; If there were tires on the truck their would be no snow all the way around the axle ? I shovel snow every time it snows and there is always a clear spot where the tire sit .

      Tracy,
You really need to find something better to do than play amateur detective since you're really bad at it. You shovel snow every time (good for you). Does that mean if the wind blows snow around, that it will avoid where you shoveled or where tires USED to be? Or does it mean that you're just an angry little Grinch who thinks you're so much smarter than everyone else?
