Breaking Details in the Search For Missing Kalamazoo Doctor Teleka Patrick

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – FOX 17 is following breaking developments in the case of a missing doctor from Kalamazoo.

The group “Find Teleka” just issued new details to FOX 17 about its search for 30-year-old Teleka Patrick.

-Investigators have seized Teleka’s computers and are reviewing their contents.

-Police have obtained a warrant for Teleka’s work and personal email accounts.

-The group says Teleka received a disturbing phone call on the afternoon of December 4th which visibly upset her.  Police are working to obtain a warrant to pour through her phone records.

-All of Teleka’s belongings, with the exception of her wallet and keys, were left at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.

-There has been an unconfirmed sighting of Teleka asking for directions to Gary, Indiana in the area of where the Lexus she was believed to be driving was discovered along I-94.

-The group also says hound dogs followed Teleka’s scent directly into the road which lead investigators to believe she was either being followed or was picked up by someone she did not know.

Also Friday, the FBI added Patrick’s missing person case to its website.

The group also released this statement:

On behalf of Mattahais & Irene Patrick,

Teleka has been missing for 15 days and this nightmare still isn’t over.

While we are thankful for your coverage of Teleka’s story, we are still desperate to find her.  Our hearts are aching with the thought that we may not have her in our arms for Christmas.  Christmas is a time for family, and ours won’t be complete unless she is here with us laughing and smiling.

We are still working with the Kalamazoo Sheriffs Department, the Indiana State Police and our private investigator.  We don’t know much which makes her disappearance that much scarier. The $10,000 reward has been posted for any information leading to Teleka being found.

The details surrounding her disappearance are so murky that we can’t help but speculate the worst.  Our questions have gone from WHERE is she, to WHO has her?  How is it possible for a 30 year old physician to just simply disappear?  We are confused and heartbroken

We are so frightened, and can’t imagine what Teleka must be feeling.  The fear of not being with family, lost and alone.  WHERE IS SHE???

We pray every second of every hour that she is not just alive but safe.

The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department released this statement to FOX 17:

The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office has been investigating the missing persons report concerning TELEKA PATRICK since first reported missing on December 6th. Since that time, the Sheriff’s Office has conducted an extensive investigation both in this area and Indiana. At this point in the investigation, the Sheriff’s Office will not be making anymore comments, nor will it field any inquiries regarding the status of the investigation. The Sheriff’s Office will issue statements as they become necessary. The Sheriff’s Office continues to seek information from persons who have direct knowledge or information surrounding her disappearance and they should contact the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office at 269-383-8748 or Silent Observer at 343-2100.
