WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — More snow is on the way to West Michigan later tonight and during the day Wednesday, but the big problem could actually be the gusty winds.
This image from our in-house computer model, Future Track, shows wind and wind gusts around Noon on Wednesday. Normally, this wouldn’t be a big problem, but there is still quite a bit of ice in the trees from this week’s ice storm. The gusty winds could very well snap some of those ice-laden trees, possibly creating more power outages.
As far as snow accumulation, totals should end up in the 2 to 4 inch range, though areas near the Lake Michigan shore could see well over 6 inches.
