PLAINFIELD TWP, Mich.,–Tuesday, Meijer is closing its doors at 7pm for Christmas day, the only time they close all year. Tuesday afternoon the store was packed though with last minute shoppers grabbing the things they need to finish their Christmas list.
The Folley family actually had a pretty unique strategy of doing things. “We started out shopping together to get something for mom and then after that the kids had to sneak off to get gifts for each other, stuffing gifts in shopping bags, running around and doing it that way,” said Tim Folley.
Folley was there with his three kids and while it was a bit of a challenge at first, it actually turned out to be fun.
He waited behind while the kids went off and got him a gift; they brought cloth bags so no one could see through them and they all checked out separately.
The family says it was so much fun, they may even make it a new family tradition.
