Man Charged In Fatal Party Shooting, Second Suspect Still On The Run

FRUITLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich., — A 23-year-old suspect has been arraigned on charges of involuntary manslaughter following a shooting at a weekend party that killed one person and injured several others.

Prosecutors say Alexander Neil Bumstead is connected to the crime, but is not believed to have been the shooter.

The shooting happened around 3:30 a.m Saturday after a group of uninvited guests showed up to a party in the 2300 block of McMillan in Fruitland Township. 21-year-old Gary O’Green was shot and killed. Three other people were also injured, but are expected to survive.

Police continue to search for the suspected gunman who has been identified as Deontay Demarkco Wickliffe, or “Tay”. He is charged with one count of open murder, three counts of Assault with intent to Murder, and felony firearm.  He should be considered armed and dangerous.
