GRPD: 3 Sought in Armed Carjacking

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Three men are being sought by police in connection with an armed carjacking Monday night in southeast Grand Rapids.

The men, at least one of them carrying a handgun, approached a driver in the area of Kalamazoo Avenue and Burton Street SE.  Police said they were called to the scene at 7:20 p.m., roughly five or 10 minutes after the crime.

The victim told police that their dark blue Chevrolet Tahoe was stolen.  Police said they believe the license plate number on the vehicle is DAP 0342.

No other information about the carjacking is available, and no description of the suspects was provided.  Anyone with information should contact Grand Rapids Police Department at 616-456-3400 or Silent Observer at 616-774-2345.
