MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. — Interstate 94 will remain shut down in northwest Indiana until further notice because of treacherous conditions in the area, according to Indiana State Police.
I-94 was closed in both directions Sunday evening from Michigan City to the Illinois state border. That is about a 40-mile stretch.
The closure was caused by multiple slide-offs. Police say plow trucks are currently unable to get to the area because of the traffic congestion.
